Principal’s Message
A new command I give you: Love one another. – John 13
At Christ the King we have a ZERO tolerance for disrespectful behaviour. This includes inappropriate lauguage, inappropriate physical behaviour and general disrepect.
As part of this effort to reduce disrepectful behaviour in our school we are asking our children to report it to a teacher or duty teacher straight away. This means we can deal with the inappropriate behaviour in a quick and timely manner.
Can I please ask that you reinforce this message at home.

Two Amazing Opportunities Coming Up
Senior School Maritime Museum Trip
As part of our Social Sciences unit on Migration and Identity this term, our Year 3-6 students will be embarking on a trip to the Maritime Museum on Wednesday 25th August as part of E.O.T.C (Education Outside The Classroom).
This trip fits in really well with our Year Overview of The Journey of Learning. The Maritime Museum has a programme that they specifically focus on Immigration and Identity. Their education facilitators will be working with our students for the day.
Thank you to the parents that have volunteered for this.
Whole School Field Trip to Hamilton Gardens and Zoo
On Thursday 4th November we will be taking the whole school for a day in Hamilton. This trip will include 2.5 hours at the Botanical Gardens and 2.5 hours at the Zoo.
This is a huge event that we have been working towards all year. We will be departing CTK at 8am and returning at 4:30pm that day.
We need the following parent helpers for each class. As a parent volunteer you will not be able to bring pre-schoolers on this trip.
Room 2 = 4 parents Room 4 = 3 parents Room 5 = 3 parents Room 6 = 3 parents | If you can help, please click on the pink button below. |
DMIC Maths Holiday Programme
When: From Monday 11 th October to Friday 15 th October
What time: 8.45am-12.30pm
Where: Christ the King Catholic School
Cost: FREE
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
During each session, children will have opportunities to participate in a range of activities related to mathematics. These will include problem solving sessions, building mathematical knowledge, and exploring maths in everyday life.
They will also use fun and interesting hands-on equipment to examine different mathematical ideas and ways to represent their mathematical thinking.
The sessions will all be led by educators from Massey University who are qualified classroom teachers as well as mathematics educators. These educators work in your children’s school alongside their teachers as they develop their maths teaching programme.
If you choose to sign your children up for the holiday programme, we ask that they attend every day if at all possible because each day will build on the learning from the day before.
This is a free holiday programme, but we do ask that you send your children with a snack for morning tea and a drink bottle.
Office Updates
Can you help with carpooling?
We have a member of our CTK family who has just moved to Clayburn Road in Glen Eden. If you can help with transport to or from school, please contact the CTK School Office. Thank You!
Uniforms | Attendence / Lateness | Birthday Celebrations |
Our students are no longer able to wear the old school uniform. Any issues please talk to your classroom teacher | Students are expected to be at school by 8:45am. After this time students need to report to the Office. If students are away sick please contact the Office to inform them. It is important for our students to be at school as much as possible. | Students will no longer be able to bring birthday cakes / goodie bags to celebrate in class. This is due to having several students at our school with food allergies and keeping everyone safe. |
